Jahangir’s Gateway, Bayana

Forts and places of Rajasthan are its pride and working as the chief tourism attraction and revenue earner of the state. Jahangir’s Gateway is a stray structure of Bayana stands a few kms away from the tourist spot Bharatpur. The connotation of spot lays as the gateway was built to welcome Akbar’s son, Jahangir, who came for a visit to Bayana. From the rugged and rough poetry in marble and sandstone, this architectural wonder, Jahangir’s Gateway never stops to tempt tourist for a meaningful drive to the spot.

Jahangir's GatewayThough the Jahangir’s gate is in a ruined condition dilapidated and aloof but still regarded as a noteworthy rest of northern India. The pillars of the Jahangir’s gateway are adorned by Urdu inscriptions, abundantly alluring the travelers of Rajasthan. The traces of carvings are there in the pillars of the gateway to offer some best architectural examples of Mughal works. Built on hilltops, in the middle of desert, and also in the middle of lakes, these forts and palaces of Bayana have a rich piece of Rajasthan’s history attached to them.
