The spot is mainly unfurled for its monuments as Old Fort, Lodi Minar and The Barah Khambon ki Chhatri. Built in 1519-20 by Nizam Khan, the Governor under Ibrahim Shah Lodi, the Lodi Minar is the most renowned situate of Bayana, Rajasthan. The Lodis were ruled in Delhi in the 15th and 16th centuries until Babur came and established the Mughal Empire there. The construction of this minaret, Lodi Minar was unfortunately caught up by Babur. The Minar witnessed several onslaught on the name of attack and invasion thus can also be called as the mute spectator of past.
Though the Minar is incomplete but counted among one of the worth seeing spots of Rajasthan. The architectural design of the Minar is brilliant and able to grab large groups of travelers from all over the state. The Jijhri a little structure was built for Babur’s son Akbar to settle for only one night, having a special cooling arrangement. The Jahangiri Gate stands nearby the Minar is like a drift structure, ramshackle and aloof. There remain traces of figurine in the pillars and several Urdu inscriptions. The history behind making the gate was to welcome Jahangir, Akbar’s son, who came for a visit to Bayana.
