GANGANAGAR - INTRODUCTION
The Ganganagar district in Rajasthan
has a total area of 7984 sq. km. The population density
of the Ganganagar district is 224 persons per square
kilometer. The headquarter of the Ganganagar district
is the Ganganagar city. Ganganagar is a small city,
which is also called as Sri Ganganagar. The Ganganagar
district is bounded by Haryana to the northeast, Hanumangarh
district to the east, Bikaner district to the south
and Pakistan to the west and northwest. There are fabulous
temples in the Ganganagar district. The two fascinating
temples are the Gauri Shankar and the Sri Ram temples,
which is the main site of attraction for the tourist,

travel is the white statue of hanuman.

Climate
In the summer season, the temperature varies from 37°
C to 24° C. While during the winter season, it falls
to 11° C. The best time to visit the place is during
the months of September to February. The temperature
of the place remains very pleasant for touring at this
time.
Location
Ganganagar district is situated on the northernmost
part of Rajasthan. Ganganagar is located to the east
of Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. Ganganagar is
located at 54 km from Hanumangarh. Most of the Rajasthan
hotels available here are run by RTDC.
GANGANAGAR - HISTORY
AND LEGENDS
Maharaja Ganga Singh, the Maharaja of Bikaner was the
founder of Ganganagar. Maharaja Ganga Singh wanted to
design the city similar to the design of Paris. So,
one can find a similar resemblance of the Ganganagar
city to the map of Paris.
