Pachewar - INTRODUCTION
A small village located at a drive of just 25 minutes from Dudu, south to the city of Jaipur on the Jaipur Ajmer highway, Pachewar is famous for cenotaphs, blue pottery kiln, metal toy makers and interesting surroundings. It is a lively place that was once ruled by Khangarot Rajputs, a sub clan of Kachhawaha Rajputs.

Pachewar- Climate and Location

Climate

The climate of Pachewar is dry and summer season is extremely hot. The temperature ranges from 40'C to 44'C in the month of May itself. The coldest month here is January. The district receives scanty rainfall annually.

Location

The small village of Pachewar is located 90 kms south of the city of Jaipur and is at a convenient drive of 25 minutes from Dudu, a small town that is located on the Jaipur Ajmer highway.

Pachewar-History and Legends

Kangarot Rajputs once ruled this silent but lively village of Pachewar. The caretaker of Khandar, Thakur Anoop Singh Khangarot had captured the fort of Ranthambor from the captivity of Marathas and annexed the fort to the state of Jaipur. Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I of Jaipur bestowed upon him the fief of Pachewar. Since then the nobles from the Khangarot clan of Rajputs were ruling Pachewar.

Main Attraction

Pachewar fort is a well-preserved serene fort with its colossal parapets imposing gates, elaborate balconies and spacious apartments, festooned with antique frescos of delicate beauty. The circuit of local sightseeing includes a visit to the imperial cenotaphs, established on the banks of Pumpa Sagar Lake, ancient temples and cherished exposure to the life of the village. You can see how the village craftsmen and artisans make delicate blue pottery, cozy carpets, colorful tie and dye, and terra cotta pieces. Itinerant ironsmiths who carry their entire households on a single bullock-cart can also be seen here.

The people visiting Pachewar can also move to Diggi that is located at a distance of 15 kms from Pachewar. This place is famous for a renowned temple of Kalyanji.

Step wells of Toda Rai Singh

The place is located at a distance at a distance of 55 kms from Pachewar and is a famous place among the visitors of Pachewar.

The cities of Ajmer and Pushkar are also quite close to Pachewar. The distance of each of these cities from Pachewar is 90 kms each. The visitors can also visit these places during their visit to the village of Pachewar.
