An interesting bit of history is associated with the village of Revla Khempur. Way back in 1628 AD, an enemy had plotted to assassinate the young Prince Jagat Singh of Mewar. Overhearing the enemy, Khemraj Dadhivadia did not utter a word about it to anyone.
One fine day, when the prince was out hunting, the assassin had just lifted his sword to murder him. Out of nowhere, Khemraj appeared and beheaded the attacker with one stroke of his sword.
Mewar's Maharaja honored Khemraj's bravery by rewarding him with a village and naming it Khempur.
In Rajasthani, 'Ravla' refers to the home of a village chieftain. Important get-togethers, collection of taxes, festivals, etc, all took place in the Ravla.
Magnificent surroundings grace the village of Ravla Khempur. One is sure to recall the older times after a look at the lofty terraces, open courtyards, gardens and canopied balconies.
The village comprises a small and attractive cluster of rural dwellings and shops. There are shaded squares where villagers meet to discuss worldly issues and problems.
Ravla Khempur does not boast of any tourist destinations. Rather, the village itself is a place to see. The serenity and picturesque beauty of the place will leave you amazed. The expanse of verdant farmland stretching off towards distant mountains beyond the village makes it a sight to cherish.
HORSES AT RAVLA KHEMPUR
It is believed to be 'the' place for horse lovers. The Khempur stable houses Marwari and Kathiawari horses of very high pedigree.
