Duration: 3 nights / 4 days
Destinations: Udaipur
Day 01 :
The Rajasthan Holiday representative greets you at the
airport and assists you to check in at a hotel, where
you feel special as shehnai players create a royal wedding
mood and you are offered a refreshing welcome drink.
Have lunch Shiv Niwas courtyard and retire to your room
for a nap. You are free to spend the evening as you
please.
Day 02 :
After previous night's excitement, day 02 begins on
a lazy note. Tour the local attractions and markets
and spend the day as you like.
Day 03 :
Spend the morning at leisure. Gather with the male relatives
of the groom at the Durbar Hall and participate in the
general merriment as the gentlemen help each other tie
the traditional turban. Once the ladies finish dressing
up all the wedding guest come together near the gate
of the heritage hotel. The wedding procession begins
as rose petals and rose water is sprinkled on the guests.
The grooms' relatives dance to music made by traditional
percussion instruments such as the Dhol and Nagada.
The groom rides a caparisoned horse and the entire
procession moves with much pomp through a path lighted
with blazing traditional torches or mashaals carried
by liveried attendants. Once the procession reaches
the banks of the Lake Pichola, ferries take you to the
Jag Mandir Island for the main wedding ceremony.
Day 04:
The Rajasthan Wedding Tour ends and you carry on your
journey back home.
