The giant Taragarh Fort was constructed by Raja Ajaipal Chauhan atop a sandstone hill. This massive fort is surrounded by a thick stone wall with 6 massive gates. The main gate is surmounted with wonderfully carved stone elephants.

See the gigantic Bhim Burj that holds one of the world's largest canons. The Taragarh Fort has a special place in the history of Ajmer. It was an important military hub during the Mughal reign in the region. This grand fort served as a sanatorium during the British domination in this region.

The Taragarh military fort was one of its kinds in the region. Tour Miran Saheb ki Dargah that is located within the fort premises. Miran Saheb was a loyal general who died a warrior's death while defending Taragarh during an enemy invasion.

The imposing Taragarh Fort is known for its intricate system of water harvesting system. There are several massive stone reservoirs that were used for water storage.
