Close to the fort is the Jaswant Thada, a white marble cenotaph that was built in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
Then there is the 20th century Umaid Bhavan Palace also popularly known as the Chittar Palace. Now a heritage hotel/ museum and residence of the royal family it boasts of 300 rooms, theatre, eight dining rooms, banquet hall, ballroom and an indoor swimming pool.
